F.A.Q.
Do you work outside Portugal?
Yes, I am from Lisbon, but I also work outside Portugal as I love to travel and feel very comfortable speaking other languages. Countries where I have worked: Italy, Spain, Brazil, United Kingdom...
Why do I need a second photographer?
The second photographer is always someone I trust completely. Their presence adds an extra layer of security and allows for a more comprehensive and creative work, as they bring a different perspective to the same moment. Additionally, if the couple gets ready in separate locations, the second photographer is essential.
Why should we do an engagement session?
I believe that getting to know each other personally and experiencing my photography style before the big day is crucial. That's why I highly recommend having a couple's session. During this session, you will have the opportunity to be photographed by me, which will help you build trust and confidence in me as your wedding photographer. These sessions can take place in various locations such as the city, countryside, beach, or any place that holds special meaning for both of you. The aim is to capture the best moments in a genuine and natural way. You will also receive beautiful photographs that differ from your wedding day context, which you can use in various creative ways. For example, on your wedding website, invitations, or as thank-you cards for your guests. The possibilities are endless!
I hate posed photos, is that a problem?
Not at all! My style focuses on capturing natural, candid moments rather than forcing posed photos. I want everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed during their special day, and my goal is to deliver a collection of genuine and authentic images that truly reflect the emotions and joy of the occasion.
How many photographs do you deliver?
Usually, I deliver a selection of between 50-100 images per contracted hour. For example, in a 12-hour event, I deliver between 600 to 1200 photographs.
Do you edit all the photographs?
Yes, I edit all the photographs that I deliver.
Can we choose our pictures?
No, I will take care of that for you. As a professional photographer, I strongly believe in the art of storytelling, and curating the final images is a significant aspect of my work. You can count on me to deliver a comprehensive gallery that beautifully narrates your entire day, from start to finish, capturing every meaningful moment. If you decide to have any prints made, you'll have the freedom to choose your favorite pictures from the delivered collection for your album or prints. I'll make sure it all comes together seamlessly. Trust me!

Distances exceeding 30km - from Lisbon - will incur travel expenses at the rate of €0.46/km. For distances exceeding 150km from Lisbon, accommodation costs apply - the amount and location will be agreed upon with the couple.
What if it's an international wedding?
For international weddings, travel costs include round-trip flights, transportation, meals, and accommodation in a hotel - to be discussed and agreed upon with the couple.
Do you do family formals and portraits?
While these may not be our signature photos, we understand that some shots are almost always necessary (even if just to make the grandparents happy!). The only request we have is to try and capture these moments in a specific, concentrated time, perhaps after the ceremony or during the cocktail hour. This way, we can get them done quickly without interrupting any special moments.
Should we provide dinner for the photographers?
Yes, it is the clients' responsibility to arrange with the suppliers for the provision of food for the photographer(s) - the same menu provided to the guests and at the same time, to ensure no moments of the event coverage are missed.
Is the location important for a wedding?
You don't need to spend a fortune to get beautiful and timeless imagery. While having an amazing venue can certainly enhance your chances of getting fabulous photographs, what truly makes the difference is the lighting. Trust me, some of the best wedding photography was captured in tiny little rooms with great lighting. That's why we always encourage you to choose wisely when it comes to your "getting ready" locations. Besides, I am more than happy to assist you in making the right choice so that you don't need to worry about this.
When should I get married in Portugal?
In Portugal, we are blessed with good weather almost all year long. In my opinion, anything between May and October would be great for your destination wedding.
Do I need a wedding planner?
I would highly recommend to hire one, especially for destination weddings. Finding the perfect ceremony location, local vendors and arrange the legal procedures will be extremely easier this way!
How can we book your services for our wedding?
After our conversation, I will forward you an agreement to be signed and a retainer to be paid in order to secure your booking officially. For wedding bookings, the retainer amount is 30% of the total package cost, and for couple sessions, it stands at 50%.
